Buck Sweep - Tight End

PLAY SIDE TIGHT END

RULE:  GAP, DOWN, BACKER

1.   Tight end will COVER BLOCK the “R” using the

“Gap” part of his “Gap, Down, Backer” Assignment.

2.   When “R” is in a 6 or 9 technique and there is no 5 technique, the Tight End will use the “Backer” part of his assignment.  He will use evasive technique and climb vertical to the C linebacker.  

3.  When there is no 7 technique then the Tight End will use his “DOWN” part of his “Gap, Down, Backer” assignment.  He will execute a COVER block on the 5 technique.

VS 32  AND TIGHT SHADE
